Creative Recycling

Today, in our International Task Force meeting, Mey Hasibuan, Founder of Gallery of Indonesia in Greenville, gave a brief presentation on an extremely creative recycling program in Indonesia. In a few small villages, elderly women take old, used toothpaste tubes and recycle the plastic into items like bags, briefcases, purses, shoes, etc.

She shared a video (below) and while watching, I realized that it's not that hard to do. We, as a community, could put programs in place to reduce our waste.
